"Turning Japanese" - Luke has just returned from Japan where he had his night at (Ageha). Luke says, "I have to say that some gigs just go off to such a degree that you wonder if they can ever be bettered. This was a pure night of real techno. I played a lot of new tracks I'm working on too, it was intense and Hi NRG with everything good, the crowd were very special; what a shindig. Take a look at a few photos posted on the gallery section of lukeslater.com. I don't usually come across clubs with 16 seperate top end speakers as well as surround sub units and stacks - something special and I'll be going back there as soon as I can." Love to all.

We are working to rectify this as soon as possible. We still do have stock of MOTE010 here on the Mote site but numbers are limited.

NEW RELEASE: PONI EP - A. MOCHI 2nd July 2008

 1: Flame
 2: Blackend
 3: Poni

The 'Poni EP' kicks off with the rippling beats of 'Flame', through it's slow, measured build up and underlying dark force, driving the track through to completion, as A. Mochi gradually throws in the beats. 'Blackend' drills into your brain from the onset, releasing its choppy beats and deep bass tones to great effect. A beast for the dancefloor. Lastly the title track 'Poni' clip-clops into view, showing off A. Mochi's depth of skill. The landscape is lighter, but still retains those dirty trademark beats.

Blurring the musical genres of techno, electro and minimal, A. Mochi's 'Poni EP' will light up many dancefloors and makes a perfect addition to the Mote-Evolver catalogue.

SHE SHOWED ME HEAVEN (REMIXES)
- LUKE SLATER
28th Apr 2008

A: Luke Slater's Junk Funk Remix
 B: L.B. Dub Corp Remix
 C: Len Faki Remix
 D: Radial Remix
these samples are lower quality than the originals

Luke Slater's "She Showed Me Heaven" made it's first appearance as part of the "Head Converter EP" released back in 2006 and was only the third release on Luke's own Mote-Evolver label. Now the label celebrates number ten with this latest instalment featuring 2 cracking new mixes from Mr Slater as well as interpretations from guests, Len Faki and Radial.

At the time, the original version of "She Showed Me Heaven", featuring Luke's own vocals, was a slice of electro-funk that helped to introduce this techno pioneer to a new audience. The latest remixes are firmly rooted in dancefloor territory, kicking off the A-side with Luke's "Junk Funk" remix which turns the original into a thrashing, no holds barred, peak time killer.

Flip over to the B-side for Luke's dubbier alter ego, L.B. Dub Corp and a stripped down, lazy dub-bass vibe. Slater himself says of the moniker: "A lot of inspiration came from my regular sets at Space Base in London where I started mixing up Dub reggae records with electronic minimalism."

Disc 2 passes the baton over to the guest remixers, and first up is Berlin's Len Faki (Podium / OstGut Ton / Berghain) with his dark, pounding techno version; heavy on the thundering bass and choppy beats.

Completing the package Dutch duo, Radial (Jeroen Liebregts & Laurens van der Starre) transfer the energy of their live shows into a vibrant remix of surging beats and distorted frequencies.

HAIKU/ KAT
- PLANETARY ASSAULT SYSTEMS
4th Feb 2008

 A: Kat
 B: Haiku
these samples are lower quality than the originals

Planetary Assault Systems bring you another communication from the outer limits in the form of "Kat" and "Haiku" following on from their previous transmission "Deep Heet Vol. 1". Propelling themselves into unchartered fathoms of the Drone Sector's shadow once visited and once returned. Food for thought indeed. We thank them kindly and hope to hear from them soon: Message End.
